Engagement Model

Build-Operate-Transfer: AI-Native Engineering Centers

We build your offshore engineering center with AI-trained teams, operate it to maturity, then transfer ownership to you

The Build-Operate-Transfer model at Ajackus goes beyond traditional offshore team setup. We recruit top engineering talent in India, train them on AI-augmented development workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, governance frameworks, prompt libraries), establish delivery processes, and operate the team to full maturity — then transfer the entire operation to your control.

What you receive is not just a team of developers. You receive an AI-native engineering center with established toolchains, trained developers who already ship 40–60% faster using AI tools, documented processes, governance frameworks, and measured delivery metrics. The team is producing at full velocity before you take ownership.

This model is ideal for companies that want the long-term cost and control benefits of an owned offshore center, but lack the local presence, recruiting infrastructure, or AI transformation expertise to build one from scratch. Ajackus handles the hardest part — building a high-performing, AI-native team — and hands you the keys when it is running smoothly.

What We Build For You

Recruited and Vetted Talent

Recruited and Vetted Talent

We recruit engineers from India's top talent pool using our proven five-stage hiring process. Technical assessments, cultural fit evaluations, and AI aptitude screening ensure every hire meets your quality bar. We handle the entire recruiting pipeline — job postings, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.

AI-Trained Engineering Teams

AI-Trained Engineering Teams

Every engineer completes our three-tier AI certification program before joining your team. They are trained on Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot with governance frameworks, prompt libraries for your tech stack, and DORA measurement systems. The team arrives AI-native, not AI-curious.

Established Delivery Infrastructure

Established Delivery Infrastructure

CI/CD pipelines, development environments, monitoring dashboards, communication tools, project management workflows, and AI toolchain configurations — all set up, tested, and documented before the team begins delivering.

Governance and Compliance Frameworks

Governance and Compliance Frameworks

AI usage governance policies, code review processes, security scanning automation, IP protection agreements, data handling procedures, and compliance controls tailored to your industry (HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS as applicable).

How the BOT Model Works

Build (Months 1–3)
Phase 01

Build (Months 1–3)

Months 1–3

We define team structure, begin recruiting, set up infrastructure, and configure AI toolchains. First hires start within 4–6 weeks. Engineers complete AI certification during onboarding. By month 3, the core team is in place, trained, and ramping on your projects.

What Gets Transferred

The Team

All engineers, with employment contracts transferred to your entity or a new Indian subsidiary. No poaching risk — they are your employees.

AI Toolchains and Licenses

All AI tool configurations, prompt libraries, governance frameworks, and training materials developed during the Operate phase.

Delivery Processes

Sprint workflows, code review procedures, CI/CD pipelines, deployment runbooks, and escalation protocols — fully documented.

Metrics and Baselines

12+ months of DORA metrics, velocity data, and quality benchmarks so your management team has clear performance baselines from day one.

Infrastructure

Development environments, monitoring dashboards, security configurations, and all tooling — transferred with documentation.

Knowledge Base

Internal wikis, onboarding guides, architecture decision records, and AI best practices documentation accumulated during Operate phase.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the BOT model different from team augmentation?

Team augmentation embeds Ajackus engineers in your existing team under your management. The BOT model builds an entirely new engineering center that Ajackus manages independently until transfer. After transfer, the team becomes your employees — not Ajackus contractors.

Do I need a legal entity in India for the BOT transfer?

For full team transfer, you will typically need an Indian legal entity (subsidiary or branch office). Ajackus can guide you through the setup process and recommend legal partners. Alternatively, we can structure the transfer through an Employer of Record arrangement while you establish your entity.

What happens if I want to keep Ajackus managing the team longer?

Our Extended Operate model allows you to defer the transfer for up to 36 months. The team continues operating under Ajackus management with the same quality, metrics, and governance — you simply extend the management agreement.

How do you prevent attrition during the transfer phase?

We address retention proactively: competitive compensation benchmarking during the Operate phase, career growth paths, AI certification programs that engineers value, and structured transition communication. Our transfer track record shows near-zero attrition when these practices are followed.

What is the minimum team size for a BOT engagement?

We recommend a minimum of 5 engineers for a BOT engagement to justify the infrastructure and management overhead. For smaller teams (2–4 engineers), team augmentation or managed delivery typically provides better value. We can start with 5 and scale to 15+ during the Operate phase.

What AI training does the team receive?

Every engineer completes our three-tier AI certification: Practitioner (basic AI tool usage and prompting), Power User (advanced workflows, custom prompt creation, governance), and Delivery Lead (team-level AI strategy, metrics, tool evaluation). Training covers Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and AI-assisted testing, documentation, and code review.
